Ambient foley, recorded myself playing the piano on an old 80s cassette recorder. . . Stretched it and ran it through a convolution reverb. This is the result, almost sounds like the intro to a burial track. Would work great in ambient music.
I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth. Unfortunately, the neighbors dog had to chime in. But, even that sounds kind of neat with the natural reverb of the open space.
My apologies forehand to those of you whom recognize their sounds. I will try an backtrace my steps and find the individual sounds i used to create this. It is a mish mash of several sounds to try and create an eerie atmosphere of withces dancing around the bonfires at beltane.
I have recorded a sound made by crumpling a paper. Then i have recorded the noise made by scratching a streaked lid with a spoon. Then i have generated a pluck ( pitch 100), repeated it till the end, and added a “wahwha effect”. I used audacity.
I needed a wall of crickets but could not find a decent one so i used some samples and multiplied them to make it sound like hundreds of crickets. Enjoy. Nice to fall asleep to, but the loop points could use some fixing-up.
Recorded on a sydney train, heading to central station. Ambient sound of train stopping, announcement made inside and outside of train, and then the sound of train leaving station.
A page of ink blots processed as a sonogram in soundhack (www. Soundhack. Com) the software accepts pct files and quicktime movies for processing with its qtcoder command. Rgb values are plotted as sound, usually very raw but sometimes it sings back!.

This began as a short sample of brown noise created on audacity. I boosted the bass and stretched it out a little with paul's extreme sound stretcher. All very easy but i quite like the result.
Started out with some button sounds from a teac a6300 then digitally manipulated them. Use however you want. If you used it i'd love to see how you used it.
This is a cricket that was chirping outside of my apartment. There a few loud chirps at the beginning, followed by several softer chirps. I was able to get my recorder pretty close the cricket, so the sounds came out pretty good. I recorded this with a tascam dr-07 portable recorder.
Charleston, sc airport. While waiting a few hours to board my flight home to chicago, i heard this security announcement a dozen times and decided to record it with my olympus ls-10.
A recording made right before a class inside a screening room. Recorded at bijou theater at california institute of the arts (calarts) in fall of 2010.
